Pakistan’s Textile Exports Surged Over Five Percent In First Two Months Of FY 2025

ISLAMABAD, Sept 18 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan’s textile exports surged by over five percent, in the first two months of the current fiscal year, starting from July, 2024 to June, 2025, compared to the same period of the last fiscal year, officials from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) said, yesterday.

The textile exports were recorded at 2.92 billion U.S. dollars in Jul-Aug of the ongoing fiscal year 2024-2025, as against the exports of 2.77 billion dollars in Jul-Aug of fiscal year 2023-24, showing growth of 5.37 percent, the PBS officials said.

On a year-on-year basis, the textile exports went up by 12.99 percent in Aug, this year, to 1.64 billion dollars, against exports of 1.46 billion dollars in Aug, last year, according to the PBS.

The PBS said that, cotton cloth, knit wear, bed wear, ready-made garments, tents, canvas and tarpaulins were among the commodities that contributed to the trade growth in the textile sector.– NNN-APP
