Russia: Helicopter with 3 onboard missing in Far East Amur region

VLADIVOSTOK (Russia), Sept 17 (NNN-XINHUA) — A Robinson R66 helicopter carrying three people has gone missing in the Amur region in Russia’s Far East, local media reported on Tuesday.

According to the regional press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the helicopter activated its emergency beacon signal on Monday. Search and rescue operations are currently underway.

The press service said the helicopter was reportedly conducting an unregistered flight over the Zeya Municipal District when it disappeared. — NNN-XINHUA
