NEW DELHI, Aug 27 (NNN-PTI) – All junior schools across India’s western state of Gujarat will remain shut today, amid a red alert for heavy to extremely heavy rains, issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), yesterday.
Heavy rains have disrupted normal life in many parts of the state over the past 24 hours.
Gujarat’s Ahmedabad city was amongst the worst hit areas. The IMD issued a red alert for heavy to extremely heavy rains for 28 districts across the state.– NNN-PTI
