Landmine Blast Killed Six, Injured Four In East Afghanistan

JALALABAD, Afghanistan, Aug 23 (NNN-ANA) – Six people lost their lives and four others were injured, following a landmine blast in east Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province, yesterday afternoon, local police said.

The incident occurred in the Dara-i-Nur District, when a landmine exploded near a van, carrying teachers and students from a religious school, in Nuristan province, Abdul Basir Zabuli, spokesman for the provincial police department, said.

Among the dead were four children and two teachers, Zabuli said.– NNN-ANA
