7.0-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Off East Coast Of Kamchatka

BEIJING, Aug 18 (NNN-XINHUA) – A 7.0-magnitude earthquake jolted a sea area, off the east coast of Kamchatka, Russia, at 3:10 a.m. today (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Centre (CENC).

The epicentre was monitored at 52.8 degrees north latitude, and 160.15 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 50 km, said a report issued by the CENC.– NNN-XINHUA
