Lithuania to buy 195 electric buses

VILNIUS, Aug 14 (NNN-XINHUA) — The Lithuanian Ministry of Transport announced that it had signed a funding bill enabling public transport carriers to purchase 195 electric buses.

This year, Lithuania has allocated 54.77 million euros (about 60.21 million U.S. dollars) to public transport carriers and 80 electric buses have been bought as a result, the ministry said in a news release.

Deputy Transport Minister Agne Vaiciukeviciute said that starting from 2026, all public transport vehicles in Lithuania will operate on alternative fuels. — NNN-XINHUA
