US aircrash: 4 people dead in plane crash in Oklahoma

SUNDANCE (Oklahoma, US), Aug 7 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Four people were killed on Tuesday in a plane crash near the Sundance Airport, U.S. state of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City Fire Department said.

The plane was taking off from the Sundance Airport, and crashed in northwest Oklahoma City.

The fire department said several emergency crews were responding to the crash, and its cause was under investigation.

Information about the victims has not been released. 

Oklahoma City Firefighters responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m. after they received a reportable about a plane that crashed into some trees in a wooded area.

Firefighters said there was a significant amount of flames when they arrived. Officials quickly put out the flames and learned there were no survivors.

Initial reports state the plane was trying to take off.

The relation of the passengers to each other is unknown right now.

Runways at the Sundance Airport were shut down as first responders worked on the scene. — NNN-AGENCIES
