Air Defences Intercept Houthi Drone Aimed At Pro-Government Military Base In Yemen

ADEN, Yemen, June 3 (NNN-SABA) – Air defences of the Saudi-led Arab coalition, intercepted a Houthi drone, aimed at a pro-government military base in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden, on Sunday night.

The Houthi drone was shot down before it had a chance to attack the pro-government Ras Abas military base, that houses thousands of newly-recruited pro-government forces in Buraiga district, western Aden, according to the official.

Meanwhile, Houthi-affiliated Masirah television network, claimed responsibility for “an explosion of a drone over the Ras Abbas military camp in Aden.”

The Houthi TV channel said, the targeted camp is used as a training centre for the newly-recruited pro-government forces, backed by the Saudi-led coalition.

“A drone attack of the type Qasif 2k targeted a ceremony and a military parade of the invaders and coalition’s mercenaries at Ras Abbas camp in Aden,” it said.

No confirmation statements have been released by the government or the Saudi-led coalition so far.– NNN-SABA
