NEW DELHI, Aug 2 (NNN-PTI) – One Indian fisherman died and another went missing, after a vessel belonging to the Sri Lankan Navy, collided with an Indian fishing boat, five nautical miles north of Katchatheevu Island, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said, yesterday.
The collision took place early in the morning hours.
A total of four fishermen were on board the fishing boat when the collision took place.
Two fishermen were rescued, and a search was going on to trace the missing fisherman, the ministry said.– NNN-PTI
