ISLAMABAD, Jul 28 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of the police, arrested 38 terrorists altogether, in the eastern Punjab province in July, the police reported.
A CTD spokesperson said in a statement yesterday, the arrests were made in intelligence-based operations conducted in cities of the province.
“The CTD conducted 449 intelligence-based operations across the province during the month, so far,” said the spokesperson.
According to the CTD official, the arrested terrorists were members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and the banned Daesh group.
In the operations, the police have also seized a large amount of explosives, hand grenades, arms, mobile phones, and foreign and local currency notes, the police official said.– NNN-APP
