DPRK’s Top Leader Receives Russian Military Delegation

PYONGYANG, Jul 19 (NNN-KCNA) – Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), received yesterday, a Russian military delegation, led by Deputy Defence Minister, Alexei Krivoruchko, in Pyongyang.

Kim and Krivoruchko held talks and “shared recognition of the importance and necessity of the military cooperation between the two countries, to defend mutual security interests.”

Reiterating his appreciation of the significance of the DPRK-Russia Pyongyang summit, held last month, Kim stressed “the need for the armies of the two countries, to get united more firmly, to dynamically lead the DPRK-Russia relations in the new era and play an important part in defending regional and global peace and international justice.”

One month earlier, Kim and Russian President, Vladimir Putin, held summit talks, and signed The Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in Pyongyang.– NNN-KCNA
