TASHKENT, Jul 17 (NNN-UzA) – The Asian Development Bank (ADB), will provide a concessional loan of 100 million U.S. dollars to Uzbekistan, for improving the country’s perinatal medical services, said the ADB press service, yesterday.
“The Asian Development Bank has approved a concessional loan of 100 million U.S. dollars, to help the government of Uzbekistan improve perinatal medical services for pregnant women and their newborns,” the press said in a statement.
It is reported that the comprehensive perinatal care project will help the government modernise about 230 perinatal centres across the country, equipping them with modern energy-efficient medical equipment, updated clinical standards and protocols, improved medical staff capacity, and quality assurance mechanisms.
