NILAI, Negeri Sembilan, July 16 (Bernama) — A group of passionate 17-year-old students from Kolej PERMATA Insan defied stereotypes by organizing Malaysia’s first-ever high school student-led hackathon, HackINSAN. Held on July 6th and 7th, 2024, the event attracted over 200 students, aged 15-24 from across the country. HackINSAN wasn’t just a competition; it was a catalyst for the future of Malaysian innovation and a testament to the boundless potential of young minds.
Inspired by his participation in hackathons abroad, Yahaya bin Basiron, the Director of HackINSAN, identified a critical gap – the lack of platforms for Malaysian high schoolers to showcase their tech talent and problem-solving skills. Refusing to accept this reality, Yahaya, along with his trusted peers, embarked on a mission to change the game.
