BEIJING (China), July 8 (NNN-ANDINA) — Peruvian President Dina Boluarte highlighted the interest that China has shown in the implementation of Chancay Megaport, which —she said— “will not only change Peru’s life but also that of the Americas.”
During CCTV’s “High End Interviews,” Boluarte indicated that this connectivity will emerge, for example, between the ports of Shanghai (China) and Chancay (Peru) for trading various goods.
This contact will be made following the implementation of the megaport in a fairly quick navigation time, she indicated.
The Head of State deemed it important that this maritime terminal has sustained operation primarily using digital tools.
The interview was broadcast by Chinese State television on Friday, a few days after the State Visit paid by Peru’s top official to the Asian country.
Moreover, President Boluarte welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping‘s initiative to consolidate peace in the Middle East.
Similarly, she underscored Peru’s interest in attracting investments and developing technology from China, in various aspects.
As an example, the top official mentioned the issue of energy matrix transition so as to foster Peru’s sustainable development.
“We share with China the interest in changing the energy (sources) we currently have in Peru,” Boluarte said, mentioning as an example that 100% of Shenzhen’s vehicle fleet is made up of electric vehicles.
In this regard, the Head of State underlined that “there are no longer carbon emissions” in said Chinese metropolis due to the use of this type of energy.
“That is the path we must lead our nations towards, in order to protect the only planet we have,” she noted.
Boluarte also highlighted the development and unity that she perceived in China. This last quality “is important so that societies can grow,” she said. — NNN-ANDINA
