ISLAMABAD, Jul 5 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan has decided to allow medical students from the Gaza Strip to complete their medical education in the country on humanitarian grounds.
The decision was made on the directions of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, said here, yesterday, during a weekly media briefing.
Palestinian students from Gaza in batches of 20-30 will soon join medical colleges in Pakistan, she added.
It will enable the Gaza students to complete their medical education, in the fields of cardiology, orthopedics, oncology, pediatrics, and surgery, to address the critical needs in Gaza’s health care system, according to the spokesperson.– NNN-APP
