Pakistan’s Foreign Exchange Reserves Increased By 494 Million USD

ISLAMABAD, Jul 5 (NNN-APP) – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), said yesterday that, its foreign exchange reserves had increased by 494 million U.S. dollars.

During the week ending Jun 28, the total foreign exchange reserves of the bank moved to around 9.4 billion dollars, the SBP said in a statement.

The increase occurred “due to official inflows from multilateral agencies,” it added.

Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks came at around 5.2 billion dollars, the statement said.

Total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at about 14.6 billion dollars, according to the SBP.– NNN-APP
