KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 (Bernama) — The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) would like to inform that the National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS 2019) is currently underway. This survey aims to provide the country with key health indicators as well as information on the healthcare needs of the population.
The NHMS 2019 is currently is in its sixth cycle, and is coordinated by the Institute for Public Health (IPH), together with the Institute for Health Systems Research (IHSR) and the Institute for Health Behavioural Research (IHBR). It will focus on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) as well as healthcare demand, utilisation and cost. This year, the Sarawak Rural Health survey will also be incorporated into the NHMS to provide vital data on the health status of communities living in rural Sarawak.
