NEW DELHI, Jun 27 (NNN-PTI) – At least four people were killed and 12 others suffered burns, in a devastating fire at a pharmaceutical factory, in the western Indian state of Rajasthan, officials said, yesterday.
The fire broke out in Khushkhera Industrial Area of Bhiwadi in Khairthal-Tijara district, about 194 km north-east of Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan.
The injured were immediately removed to the hospital.
According to police, the cause of the fire was still under investigation. Fire department officials suspect a short circuit in the factory, triggered an explosion, leading to a rapid spread of fire inside the premises.– NNN-PTI
