KULIM, Kedah, June 25 (Bernama) — Technology Depository Agency Berhad (TDA), an agency under the Ministry of Finance (MoF), recently announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MIMOS Berhad, a government-funded research and development organisation under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). The MoU was signed during the launch of the Semicon Research Consortium and MIMOS Academy at the MIMOS Industrial Technology Innovation Centre (ITIC) in Kulim, Kedah. This strategic partnership between the two agencies, with TDA under the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and MIMOS under MOSTI, aims to supercharge the development of electrical and electronics (E&E), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data storage technology in Penang and its surrounding areas.
TDA plays a pivotal role in fostering collaboration and knowledge transfer within the Malaysian technology ecosystem, leveraging MIMOS’s distinguished reputation for cutting-edge R&D and MIMOS’s ITIC facility in Kulim serves as a launchpad for innovation, offering crucial resources and support to spur the growth of technology and industrial development in the northern region.
