ISLAMABAD, Jun 17 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan earned 15.241 billion U.S. dollars, through textile products exports in the first 11 months of the ongoing fiscal year, starting from Jul, 2023 to Jun, 2024, officials from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) said, yesterday.
The exports of textile products increased by 1.41 percent during Jul-May, of the current fiscal year, as against the exports of 15.029 billion dollars during the same period of the last fiscal year 2022-23, the PBS officials said.
On a year-on-year basis, textile exports increased by 18 percent, going up from 1,320.548 million dollars in May, 2023, to 1,558.230 million dollars in May, 2024.
On a month-on-month basis, the textile exports also rose 25.94 percent, when compared to the exports of 1,237.313 million dollars in Apr, 2024.
The textile commodities that witnessed positive trade growth included raw cotton, cotton yarn, bedwear, towels, ready-made garments and other made-up articles.– NNN-APP
