ISLAMABAD, Jun 8 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan strongly condemns the Israeli air strike targeting a school housing displaced people, in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, that led to multiple deaths including women and children, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said yesterday.
“This attack is another crime in a series of attacks against civilians, including an internally displaced persons camp last week, that resulted in deaths of around 45 Palestinians, the ministry’s spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, said here during a weekly media briefing.
Conducted overnight by the Zionist Air Force, the airstrikes targeted a school run by UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, killing at least 35 people. The school was housing displaced people in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, at the time of the incident.
“The deliberate targeting of civilian population and facilities is a grave violation of international law and constitutes war crimes,” according to the spokesperson.
Avichay Adraee, the Zionist regime’s defence forces spokesperson, said, they attacked a Hamas compound inside a school in the Nuseirat area during the night, eliminating many “saboteurs” who participated in an attack on Oct 7, last year.– NNN-APP
