DOHA, Qatar, May 29 (NNN-QNA) – The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will meet on Wednesday (today), with Iraqi Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi.
Abdul Mahdi is due to arrive in Doha today, for an official visit to Qatar, where the two leaders will discuss means of boosting bilateral relations, as well as, issues of mutual concern.
The Iraqi prime minister had said, a week ago that, his country would send delegations to the United States and Iran, in a bid to ease tension in an already-troubled Middle East region.
Abdul Mahdi’s Qatari visit announcement, coincides with a visit by Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi to Doha, as part of a Gulf tour that also took him to Oman and Kuwait, to exchange views about the current crisis in the area.– NNN-QNA
