SYDNEY, May 29 (NNN-AAP) – A woman has been arrested by police in Sydney, after a man was fatally stabbed last night.
At about 6:15 p.m. local time, emergency services responded to reports of an incident, at a residence on Murrabin Avenue in Matraville.
The region is located in Sydney’s east, approximately 10 km south-east of the city’s central business district.
Upon arrival, paramedics treated a man but he was later declared dead at the scene.
A woman was arrested nearby and was assisting with inquiries.
New South Wales Police Force said in a statement that, a crime scene has been established and an investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the incident, with the help of homicide detectives.
Authorities have yet to confirm if the man and woman were known to each other.– NNN-AAP
