BOGOTA, May 21 (NNN-XINHUA) — Two police officers were killed and several others injured in two terrorist attacks on Monday in the municipalities of Morales and Jamundi in southwest Colombia, local authorities said.
The first attack occurred in Morales, where purported members of a dissident faction of the disbanded Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia guerrilla group targeted a police station with explosives and gunfire, killing two police officers.
The attackers also looted the Agrarian Bank and destroyed several businesses.
In Jamundi early Monday, a motorcycle loaded with explosives detonated in the vicinity of a hotel, where police assigned to reinforce security in the region were staying, injuring four people, including three children. — NNN-XINHUA
