COLOMBO, May 18 (NNN-XINHUA) – Jagath Kumara Sumithraarachchi, chairman of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Open and Accountable Government, yesterday said, measures are being implemented, to launch a technology-driven programme to reduce corruption and fraud in Sri Lanka.
Addressing a press conference, at the Presidential Media Centre, Sumithraarachchi said, government employees must fulfil their duties to the public.
He said, his committee has accomplished significant work in the public interest, focusing on strengthening government operations, transparently and responsibly.
The committee is evaluating public service performance by reviewing the annual performance reports of all government institutions, including the Supreme Court, judicial system, and various ministries, he said.– NNN-XINHUA
