Bangladesh’s Remittances Hit 810 Million USD In First 10 Days Of May

DHAKA, May 13 (NNN-BSS) – Expatriate Bangladeshis sent home a total of 810 million U.S. dollars in remittances, in the first 10 days of May, according to Bangladesh Bank sources.

The remittance inflow has increased in the first 10 days of the current month, compared to the corresponding duration of the last four months, with 731 million dollars, 679 million dollars, 718 million dollars, and 763 million dollars during the first 10 days of Apr, Mar, Feb, and Jan, respectively, leading English newspaper, the Financial Express, reported.

Bangladesh had received 2.04 billion dollars in remittances in Apr, 1.99 billion dollars in Mar, 2.16 billion dollars in Feb, and 2.10 billion dollars in Jan, this year.– NNN-BSS
