TASHKENT, May 6 (NNN-UzA) – Agreements worth over 26 billion U.S. dollars were signed at an investment forum in Tashkent, according to Uzbekistan’s trade and investment ministry.
The deals were inked at the third Tashkent International Investment Forum, which indicates Uzbekistan’s attractiveness as an investment destination, according to a statement released yesterday by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade.
In comparison, 167 documents, totalling 11 billion dollars were signed at the first forum in 2022, with investments more than doubling at the latest version.
The ministry noted, the agreements cover key industries, such as manufacturing, energy, pharmaceuticals and automobile manufacturing.
This year’s event saw participation of 2,500 people from across the world.– NNN-UzA
