ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, May 27 (NNN-PPI) – Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan, felicitated his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, on his electoral victory, in a telephone conversation, on Sunday, a Foreign Ministry statement said.
During the conversation, Khan expressed his desire that both countries should work together for the betterment of their people.
“Reiterating his vision for peace, progress and prosperity in South Asia, the prime minister said, he looked forward to working with Modi, to advance these objectives,” said the statement.
Earlier, on May 23, Khan also congratulated Modi in a tweet, saying that, he was looking forward to working with Modi, for peace, progress and prosperity, to which the Indian prime minister responded that, he has always given priority to peace and development in the region.– NNN-PPI
