JAKARTA, Apr 11 (NNN-ANTARA) – Seven people were reportedly killed with 15 others injured, in a bus crash on a highway in the Indonesian province of Central Java this morning, police said.
The bus, carrying 34 passengers, slid into a ditch on the Batang-Semarang highway, near the regency of Kendal, said the provincial police spokesperson, Stefanus Satake Bayu, adding that, no other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Bayu said, the police interrogated the bus driver in their investigation on the cause of the accident.
Deadly road accidents are often seen in the country, largely due to overloading, poor road conditions and reckless driving.– NNN-ANTARA
