KABUL, Apr 8 (NNN-ANA) – Five commuters were killed and four others injured, in two road accidents in south Afghanistan, the state-run Bakhtar news agency reported yesterday.
A traffic mishap on a road in the southern Kandahar province left three dead and injured another, the state-run media outlet added.
Two more travellers lost their lives and three others were injured as their vehicle turned turtle in Ghazni province, according to Bakhtar.
According to Afghanistan’s General Directorate of Traffic Police, more than 1,600 people have been killed and more than 4,000 others injured due to road accidents over the past 10 months.– NNN-ANA
