COLOMBO, Mac 31 (NNN-XINHUA) – Over 600,000 tourists have arrived in Sri Lanka by Mac 27 this year, the latest statistics by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) showed.
The data, released yesterday, showed that 608,475 tourists have arrived in Sri Lanka in the period, and 181,872 tourists arrived in Sri Lanka between Mac 1 and Mac 27.
Russia, India, Germany, Britain, China and France are key source markets, according to the data.
The country’s central bank data showed that tourism generated 687.5 million U.S. dollars in revenue, in the first two months of this year, a 118.2 percent growth from the same period of last year.– NNN-XINHUA
