BISHKEK, Mac 30 (NNN-KNA) – Strong wind injured 24 people in northern Kyrgyzstan, the authorities said yesterday.
At approximately 16:20 local time (1020 GMT) on Thursday, strong wind with a speed of 18-28 metres per second was recorded in Bishkek, and the Chui and Talas regions, causing a warning of emergency situations.
According to the Ministry of Health, 24 people were injured in Bishkek and the Chui region due to the wind. Four people were hospitalised with moderate conditions, while the rest were sent for outpatient treatment.
As of Friday, 154 facilities have been damaged, including 70 social facilities, 80 residential buildings and four outbuildings, according to preliminary information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.– NNN-KNA
