SYDNEY, Mac 27 (NNN-AAP) – Police in the Australian state of Victoria said today that, a 17-year-old boy has been charged, after he stabbed a fellow student at a school in Melbourne.
According to a statement released by Victoria Police, just after 3:00 p.m. local time yesterday, emergency services called to Wilson Road in Melton South, a suburb located approximately 35 km west of Melbourne’s central business district.
A 16-year-old boy was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 17-year-old boy presented himself to police after fleeing from the scene. He was arrested and charged with affray.
“Police are continuing to search for a second offender that remains outstanding. The investigation remains ongoing,” the state police force added.
Earlier, a spokesperson from the Victorian Department of Education told local media that, the school was working with police on the investigation.– NNN-AAP
