NEW DELHI, Mac 19 (NNN-PTI) – At least seven people were killed and nearly a dozen others injured, when an under-construction building collapsed, in India’s eastern state of West Bengal, a local police confirmed over phone, yesterday.
The incident occurred in the state’s capital city of Kolkata, in the Garden Reach area.
The injured were admitted to a local hospital.
According to media reports, the building collapsed due to poor construction material being used in the construction.
Two engineers involved in constructing the ill-fated building were booked for negligence, and a police case was filed against the promoters of the building, added the reports.– NNN-PTI
