KUALA LUMPUR, March 18 (Bernama) — The students of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Seri Keramat were given an unexpected treat when Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton made a special appearance at the school. He joined the students in carrying out several experiments showcasing the benefits of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education.
SMK Seri Keramat is among the 39 schools in Malaysia that participated and emerged as winner in a responsible waste management programme led by a PETRONAS subsidiary, PETRONAS Chemicals Group. The said programme is in line with one of PETRONAS’ social impact pillars – Planting Tomorrow – which focuses on educating young minds on the importance of biodiversity conservation and sustainable living.
