Laos To Host ASEAN Energy Business Forum To Advance Energy Cooperation

VIENTIANE, Mac 5 (NNN-KPL) — Laos’ Ministry of Energy and Mines, will host the 24th ASEAN Energy Business Forum (AEBF-24), which is scheduled to take place from Sept 25 to Sept 27, in the Lao capital, Vientiane, to advance regional cooperation in the energy sector.

The forum will align with Laos’ ASEAN chairmanship in 2024, under the theme of “ASEAN: Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience,” spotlighting the paramount importance of regional collaboration, in fostering connectivity and energy resilience, it was reported today.

Director General of the Department of Planning and Cooperation, under the Lao Ministry of Energy and Mines, Akhomdeth Vongsay, said, the forum is a testament to Laos’ commitment to advancing regional cooperation in the energy sector.

“We aim to strengthen ASEAN’s connectivity, promote economic integration, and fortify the region’s energy resilience,” he said.– NNN-KPL
