HANOI, Mac 5 (NNN-VNA) – Five people were killed on the spot, in a collision between a sleeper bus and a container truck, on the national highway running through Vietnam’s northern Tuyen Quang province, early this morning.
Five others who were seriously injured were rushed to hospital. The accident occurred at about 1:40 a.m. local time (1840 GMT on Monday), when the sleeper bus was running on highway No. 2, towards Ha Giang and Tuyen Quang provinces.
The container truck was running from Hai Phong city to Ha Giang province, on the opposite direction, when it collided with the bus.
The truck overturned, while the side of the sleeper bus was completely deformed, local news website VnExpress reported.
