DOHA, Qatar, May 22 (NNN-QNA) – The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, on Tuesday, in Doha.
The two leaders discussed latest developments on the Palestinian issue and the region, including the tough financial situation the Palestinians are going through.
Abbas arrived in the Qatari capital on Monday, for a three-day official visit.
Palestinian ambassador to Qatar, Munir Ghannam, said on Monday, that, Palestinian-Qatari relations are strong, praising Doha’s decision to provide over 300 million U.S. dollars, for the Palestinian government, in the form of grants and loans.– NNN-QNA
