CATACAOS (Piura region, Peru), March 1 (NNN-ANDINA) — Pres Dina Boluarte affirmed that her administration works for education and to build high-quality educational institutions, where professionals can be shaped with ethics and morals.
Remarks were made during the inauguration of Genaro Martinez Silva Educational Institution’s new facilities in Catacaos. It is one of seven schools that will be delivered in Piura region, northern Peru.
“We work for education; we put all our impetus, work, and efforts to deliver schools that are worthwhile and ensure quality education and so as to have in the near future great professionals, great citizens with ethics, morals, and dignity, who are strong and brave, so that they can continue guiding the homeland’s destinies,” Boluarte said.
She said that more than S/322 million (above US$84.9 million) was invested in seven educational institutions to be inaugurated in Piura.
The current infrastructure will benefit 3,400 students.
Likewise, she said that the new school features equipped classrooms, laboratories, libraries, workshops, dining rooms, sports equipment, all of this in favor of education.
“We are aware that education must be provided in safe places; that is why they have drainage systems in the presence of heavy rains and are also earthquake resistant,” she added.
Pres Boluarte pointed out that this year a total of 78 educational facilities will be completed, as well as 31 by the Bicentennial Schools Project, 20 by the National Educational Infrastructure Program (Pronied), and 27 by the National Infrastructure Authority (Anin).
“Nothing stops us; we focus on things that are worthwhile for the youth; that is our focus here in the north; we will continue to strive in that work, both the national, regional, and local governments,” she said. — NNN-ANDINA
