Moroccan King Receives Spanish Prez At The Royal Palace

RABAT, Feb 22 (NNN-XINHUA) — Moroccan King Mohammed VI and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez hailed bilateral relations and fruitful cooperation between the two countries during their meeting here on Wednesday.

The leaders of the two neighboring countries underlined unique bilateral cooperation prospects, such as jointly hosting the 2030 Football World Cup with Portugal, the Moroccan Royal Cabinet said in a statement.

The bilateral relations, which have been developing satisfactorily, are marked by strengthening cooperation, coordination and partnership in all fields, based on the principles of mutual respect, ambition, good neighborliness and respect for commitments, said the statement.

Sanchez arrived in Rabat Wednesday morning for a short visit. He also held a meeting with Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch.

In April 2022, Morocco and Spain adopted a strategic roadmap to initiate a new stage of bilateral cooperation. — NNN-XINHUA
