KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 14 (NNN-Bernama) — Malaysia’s former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been admitted to the country’s National Heart Institute (IJN) for treatment of an infection.
His spokesperson on Tuesday said Mahathir, 98, was admitted to IJN on Jan 26.
“Tun (Dr Mahathir) is currently receiving treatment for infection at IJN, followed by a subsequent rest period for optimal recovery,” the spokesperson said.
