Malaysia, Kyrgyz hold Inaugural Bilateral Consultation in Bishkek

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 10  (Bernama) — Malaysia and Kyrgyz held inaugural bilateral consultation in Bishkek on Thursday to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

Wisma Putra in its Facebook posting Friday said the meeting was co-chaired by Foreign Ministry’s  Deputy Secretary-general for Bilateral Affairs Datuk Ahmad Rozian Abd Ghani and Kyrgyz’s  Deputy Foreign Minister Avazbek Atakhanov. 

“Both sides reviewed the entire spectrum of Malaysia-Kyrgyz Republic ties and expressed their commitment to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. 

“They also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest,” said the posting.

In another Facebook posting earlier, Wisma Putra said Ahmad Rozian also paid a courtesy call on the Kyrgyz’s Foreign Affairs Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev on Thursday. 

According to Wisma Putra, Ahmad Rozian is in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyz, to lead the Malaysian delegation at the inaugural Malaysia-Kyrgyz Bilateral Consultations.
