PASADENA (US), Feb 4 (NNN-ANDINA) — The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPeru) organized the Invest Peru Roadshow in the City of Pasadena, California, aimed at technology-based companies and entities in the United States, in order to consolidate our country’s image as an attractive destination for foreign investments related to the High Technology sector with cross-sectoral impact, such as Fintech, Artificial Intelligence, AgroTech, EdTech, GreenTech, Cybersecurity, HealthTech, LogiTech, HRTech, MineTech, among others.
On Jan 31, conferences, discussion panels, visits, and meetings were held to show potential investors and entities linked to the ecosystem the macroeconomic strengths and good business climate of our country, as well as the comparative and competitive advantages that make it an ideal recipient of foreign direct investment.
The Peruvian delegation that participated in the event included PromPeru Business Investment Promotion Director Daniel Cordova; Economic and Trade Counselor in Los Angeles Conrado Falco; among other participants.
Some of the institutions and companies that were visited and participated in the “Invest Peru -Pasadena 2024 Roadshow” were Build Your Dreams (design and technology applied to transportation industries), Caltech and Huntington Medical Research Institutes (research and innovation in the health sector).
Their representatives held bilateral meetings with the Peruvian delegation, at which they discussed issues related to potential investments or partnerships with Peru’s innovation ecosystem.
During the afternoon, conferences were held by the Peruvian delegation, attended by technology companies from the area in sectors related to Artificial Intelligence, E-Commerce, AgroTech, Cybersecurity, HealthTech, LogiTech, HRTech, and FinTech, among others.
During this Roadshow, PromPeru’s Executive-President Angelica Matsuda gave a virtual welcome speech to the business audience. Similarly, she commented about Peru’s potential as an investment destination.
In turn, Pasadena City Councilmember Tyron Hampton expressed his appreciation and his vision for future alliances with Peru, in terms of investment and development in sectors where research and technological improvements can be applied. — NNN-ANDINA
