YANGON, Feb 2 (NNN-MNA) – A vehicle carrying pilgrims, rolled over in southern Myanmar, injuring 18 people, including a seven-month-old baby, an official from Thit Sar Pann Kinn Mudon Rescue Organisation, said yesterday.
The accident occurred in Mudon town of Mon state, on Jan 31. The cause of the accident was that, there were too many people in the vehicle, which overturned due to the loss of control.
Thirty-two people were on board, and among them, 18 were wounded. The seven-month-old baby suffered a broken arm, which was the worst injury in the accident.
The injured were assisted by rescue teams in Mudon, and they were taken to a local hospital, the official said.– NNN-MNA
