Japan’s Auto Exports Rose 16 Percent To Exceed 4.42 Million Last Year

TOKYO, Feb 1 (NNN-NHK) – Japan’s exports of automobiles last year, came in at more than 4.42 million units, up 15.98 percent from a year earlier, industry data showed, yesterday.

According to the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), a total of 4,422,682 vehicles were exported, among which 3,978,141 were passenger cars.

Citing China’s auto exports of 4.91 million units in 2023, Japanese media reported that Japan, for the first time in seven years, has slipped from the top spot in global car exports.– NNN-NHK
