KABUL, Jan 29 (NNN-ANA) – At least 17 people were confirmed dead and 10 others injured, due to a series of traffic accidents on the eastern edge of Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, yesterday, Kabul police spokesman, Khalid Zadran, said.
The accidents, according to Zadran, happened on the highway linking Kabul’s Surobi District to Jalalabad, the provincial capital of the eastern Nangarhar province.
Two children were among those killed in the mishaps, he added.
Kabul and other parts of Afghanistan have been receiving rain and snow since early yesterday.– NNN-ANA
