ASEAN Plus Three Countries To Boost Tourism Cooperation

VIENTIANE, Jan 27 (NNN-KPL) – The 23rd meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations plus China, Japan and South Korea (APT) Tourism Ministers, was held here yesterday, to exchange and share information on the tourism sector.

The meeting was co-chaired by Lao Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Suanesavanh Vignaket, and Wang Chang, charge d’affaires of the Chinese embassy in Laos.

Speaking at the meeting, Wang said, China is ready to strengthen communication with all parties, advance practical cooperation and jointly promote regional tourism cooperation to a higher level.

The meeting also emphasised the importance of upskilling and reskilling the tourism workforce, and equipping them with valuable tools, including digital technology, to enable them to adapt to new ways of doing business.– NNN-KPL
