MANILA, Jan 25 (NNN-PNA) – Five people were killed and over 20 others injured, after a bus hit several vehicles in Bataan province, north-west of the capital, Manila, police said today.
Police said, the crash occurred at around 7.00 p.m. local time yesterday, along a highway in Dinalupihan town. The bus was travelling from San Fernando City in Pampanga province, to Olongapo City.
The wayward bus hit a motorcycle, two tricycles, and a van, before colliding with an oncoming passenger jeepney on the opposite lane, police added. The jeepney fell to its side due to the impact of the collision.
Police said, three died at the scene, while two others died at the hospital. Emergency workers took the wounded to two hospitals in the area.
The 54-year-old bus driver was taken into custody.– NNN-PNA
