KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Jan 22 (Bernama) — UOB Malaysia today announced that its new corporate headquarters, UOB Plaza 1 Kuala Lumpur, has been awarded the prestigious platinum certification from GreenRE Real Estate (GreenRE). Platinum is the highest level in GreenRE’s green building rating system, making UOB Plaza 1 the first bank headquarters in Malaysia to be recognised for its sustainable design, construction, and wellness features.
Completed in September 2022, the lantern-shaped office building is located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur and is the professional home to more than 3,000 of the Bank’s employees. It also houses the Bank’s main branch and wealth centre. Designed to cultivate a high-performing and future-ready workforce, UOB Plaza 1 features open collaborative areas and workspaces equipped with state-of-the-art technology to foster collaboration, creativity, and culture.
