Police remands third suspect linked to murder of Malaysian nurse

SEPANG, Malaysia, May 17 (Bernama) — A Nigerian man has been remanded for seven days to assist investigations into the murder of a nurse, Siti Kharina Mohd Kamarudin, who was found dead with slash wounds in an apartment in Cyberjaya, near here, Wednesday.

The remand order was issued by Majistrate A.Akhiruddin@Boy Acho following an application from the police at the Sepang Majistrate Court.

The Nigerian man, who is in his 30s, was detained by the police in Cheras Thursday night.

His arrest followed the detainment of a Nigerian woman and a Pakistani man on Thursday, both of whom are in remand for seven days effective Thursday.

Siti Kharina,40, a nurse with Hospital Serdang had been earlier reported missing since May 8. Her body was found on Wednesday with slash wounds in a her rented condominium.
